Kiddles Sports has operated in downtown Lake Forest's historic Market Square for more than 50 years, founded as a hardware store with Schwinn bicycles in 1968 and transformed into a sporting goods and bicycle retailer in 1972 under Jay Shlifka's leadership. The shop carries Trek, Electra, Shimano, SRAM, and Teravail, and offers bicycle repair alongside shoe fitting, skate sharpening, racquet restringing, and baseball glove relacing. Beyond retail, Kiddles Sports provides custom screen-printed and embroidered apparel and uniforms for local schools, teams, park districts, and businesses.
