Working Bikes, founded in 1999 and based in Chicago's Little Village neighborhood, is a 501(c)(3) organization that collects donated bicycles from across Chicago and the Midwest, repairs them, and redistributes them locally or ships them to international partners. The storefront carries all styles of adult and kids bicycles alongside new and used accessories and a large selection of used, vintage, and hard-to-find parts, with a full service department staffed by mechanics. Proceeds from shop sales directly fund bike donation programs, volunteer operations, and international shipping.
