Question 1

What services does Gears2You offer beyond basic tune-ups?

Accepted Answer

In addition to basic tune-ups ($120), the shop provides annual tune-ups ($150), overhauls ($350), flat repairs ($30), brake service ($20–30), bicycle assembly ($120), derailleur service ($20–30), and wheel truing ($35). Specialty pricing is available for e-bikes ($150), vintage bikes ($150), cruisers and kids' bikes ($75), and tandems ($150–$200).

Question 2

Does Gears2You offer pickup and delivery service?

Accepted Answer

Yes. Complimentary pickup and delivery is included with every tune-up service within the shop's service area. Customers can also have bikes shipped directly to the shop for assembly, and the shop will deliver the assembled bike within the service area.

Question 3

How long has Gears2You been in business and what is its background?

Accepted Answer

Gears2You was founded in 2021 by two neighbors who recognized growing interest in cycling and identified a need to help people get their neglected bikes back into ridable condition. Co-founder Peter Janunas has a long history in the cycling industry, having competed on track since 1991 and worked in bike shops for many years.

Question 4

What is included in the annual tune-up service?

Accepted Answer

The annual tune-up ($150) includes all components of the basic tune-up (cleaning, chain lubrication, brake and derailleur adjustment, wheel truing, bolt tightening, headset and bottom bracket inspection, and tire inflation), plus replacement of all brake and derailleur cables and free pickup and delivery.

Question 5

Can Gears2You service e-bikes and specialty bicycles?

Accepted Answer

Yes. The shop handles e-bikes, vintage bikes, cruisers, kids' bikes, and tandems, each with specialized pricing and expertise. E-bike flat repairs, for example, have higher labor costs ($35 front, $45 rear) due to the added complexity of the wheels and components.
