Founded by JR and Jen, who relocated from the tech industry to Groveland to create a community hub for cyclists, Trail Less Traveled sits at the edge of Stanislaus National Forest and near Yosemite National Park. The shop carries Salsa and Aventon bikes alongside BMX, children's bikes, mountain bikes, cruisers, gravel bikes, road bikes, and multiple e-bike styles, with access to custom-build frames. Services include certified bicycle repair, on-site maintenance, bike rentals (e-bikes, mountain bikes, hybrids), service appointments, and local trail information; the shop also stocks fishing gear, car tire chains, and Yosemite-themed gifts.
