Sports Basement was founded in 1998 as a weekend warehouse shop in San Francisco and has grown to 15 fully stocked California locations with in-house bike and ski shops. The Walnut Creek location carries Cannondale, Surly, Felt, Breezer, Aventon, 45NRTH, and Teravail alongside Shimano and SRAM components. Beyond retail, Sports Basement hosts over 5,000 community events annually (about 20 per day across Bay Area stores) and directs 10% of profits to local schools and nonprofits through its Basementeers membership program.
