About
Founded in 1974 as a college-town repair shop in Carbondale, Bike Surgeon has grown across the Metro East to become a regional hub for road and gravel cycling. The shop carries Specialized, Trek, Electra, and Teravail alongside premium brands like Cervelo, Salsa, and Niner. Its Retul 3D Fit Studio, staffed by three certified professionals, serves riders seeking precise bike fitting; mechanics handle comprehensive repair work. Weekly group rides at A (21: 23 mph), B (17: 19 mph), and C (14: 16 mph) paces, plus annual events like Tour de Surgeon and the Southern Illinois Fat Tire Festival, anchor its community presence.
