Founded in 1986 with 75 bicycles and a used pickup truck, Island Bike & Surf Shop has grown to operate over 1,000 rental bicycles and five delivery vehicles serving Johns Island and the nearby Kiawah and Seabrook Islands communities. The shop specializes in beach and Lowcountry cruising, offering rentals, repairs, and sales with free pickup and delivery service to vacationers and locals. Island Bike & Surf designs and sells the Island Cruiser, a proprietary beach cruiser engineered for coastal durability with aluminum oversized tubing, sealed components, and thorn-resistant tubes.
