Bikerowave is a volunteer-run, not-for-profit bicycle repair collective founded in January 2007, located at 12255 Venice Boulevard in Mar Vista. The shop provides shared workshop space, tools, and equipment at $11/hour (or $7/half-hour) for community members to build, repair, and maintain bicycles, with guidance from skilled volunteers. It accepts donated bikes and parts, refurbishes them, and sells used bikes at reasonable prices; no one is turned away for lack of funds. Its mission centers on making cycling accessible and empowering the broader L.A. cycling community through education and affordable resources.
