Sports Basement was founded in 1998 as a weekend warehouse shop in San Francisco and has grown to 15 fully stocked California locations, including Fountain Valley. The Orange County location carries Cannondale, Felt, Surly, Breezer, Aventon, 45NRTH, and Teravail, alongside components from SRAM and Shimano. Beyond retail, Sports Basement hosts over 5,000 community events annually, operates in-house bike and ski shops, offers rentals, and runs guided backpacking trips to Yosemite and the Grand Canyon. The company returns 10% of profits to local schools and nonprofits through its Basementeers membership program.
