Founded in 1998 as a single San Francisco warehouse operation, Sports Basement has grown to 15 California locations with in-house ski and bike shops. The Hawthorne location carries Cannondale, Felt, Surly, Aventon, 45NRTH, and Teravail alongside Shimano and SRAM components. Beyond retail, the chain hosts over 5,000 community events annually and returns 10% of earnings to local schools and nonprofits through its Basementeers membership program.
