Founded in 1995, Bear Valley Bikes has developed a strong presence in Big Bear's racing and mountain bike community. Shop owner Derek Hermon, a UCI certified technician and Specialized Bicycle component University graduate, has been inducted into the Big Bear Mountain Bike Hall of Fame and served on the USA Cycling Board. The shop carries Cannondale, Marin, and several other brands, and specializes in custom builds, bike rentals (cruiser, cross-country, e-bike), and comprehensive repair services including cable replacement, rim truing, brake bleeding, and drivetrain overhauls. The shop also developed Speed Evolution, a brand focused on advancing bicycle mechanical products.
