Founded in 1972 by Sonny and Colleen Brester, the shop moved to its current location on East Overland Drive in the late 1980s and is now operated by their son JR and his family. Sonny's carries Electra, Giant, Salsa, Specialized, and Trek bikes alongside Shimano components and a range of parts and accessories, and stocks both new and used bicycles. The shop handles repairs from basic maintenance to full overhauls, refurbishment of vintage bikes, and pedal-assist e-bike sales and service. It actively supports the regional cycling community through the Robidoux Rendezvous gravel event and partnerships with local trail systems including Wildcat Hills State Recreation Area and Platte River Basin Environments lands.
