Scenic Routes began in 2020 as a pandemic-era hobby in a Hayes Street apartment, where friends and neighbors brought bikes to be repaired. The shop has since grown into a dedicated storefront on Balboa Street in San Francisco, specializing in restoration and rebuilding of used bicycles for commuters and travelers. The shop operates as a community space where visitors can watch repair work, drink coffee, and connect around a shared belief that bicycles are tools of freedom and social equality.
