Pedal Power opened in Middletown in 1975 and has been owned by Bill and Gary since December 1995, when they relocated the shop from a cramped storefront to a 22,000-square-foot building (known as "The Mothership") at 359 Main Street in 1999. The shop carries Trek, Cannondale, and Surly across road, mountain, gravel, electric, kids, and hybrid categories, and offers bike repair, professional bike fitting, and trade-in services. All staff are riders, and the shop hosts group rides seasonally.
