BildaBike was established in 2009 by owner Dan Einhorn as a custom bike-building operation designed to offer affordable alternatives to expensive bespoke builds. The shop specializes in corrosion-resistant designs suited to Charleston's salty air, particularly beach cruisers, and has grown from a backyard operation to two retail locations: King Street downtown and Park Circle. Beyond its own custom builds, BildaBike carries Cannondale, Giant, Fuji, Rad Power, and other brands, and operates a substantial rental fleet, professional repair service, and bike trade-in program serving downtown Charleston, Kiawah, Hilton Head, and surrounding islands.
