Sports Basement began in 1998 as a weekend warehouse shop in San Francisco and has grown to 15 fully stocked California locations across the Bay Area and Southern California. The chain operates in-house bike shops and rentals programs, carries running shoes from brands including HOKA, On, Brooks, Saucony, Altra, and Asics, and offers e-bike sales with regional rebate guidance. The shop hosts over 5,000 events annually and distributes 10% of profits to local schools and nonprofits through its Basementeers membership program.
