Southwest Cycle has operated in Southwest Harbor since 1981 as a year-round rental and service hub for Acadia National Park visitors and Mount Desert Island residents. The shop carries Gazelle, Fuji, Breezer, Bianchi, and Soma bikes across road, gravel, hybrid, mountain, and kids categories, plus e-bikes (Class 1). Services include general repairs, flat-tire walk-ins, scheduled tune-ups (included with new bike sales), bike reassembly for shipped bikes, and a rental fleet spanning e-bikes, gravel, hybrids, kids bikes, and trailers. Staff are year-round island residents familiar with local trails.
