About
Maine Sport Outfitters was founded in 1976 by Stuart and Marianne Smith and has grown from a small Camden location to three stores (Rockport, Camden, Rockland) serving Midcoast Maine. The shop carries Trek bikes, Surly, Aventon, 45NRTH, Teravail, Electra, and Shimano/SRAM components alongside outdoor apparel and footwear from L.L.Bean, Patagonia, The North Face, and prAna. Beyond retail, it operates a service shop with tune-ups and rebuilds, manages rentals, and runs an Outdoor School offering guided kayaking, canoeing, e-biking, cross-country skiing, and fishing trips.
