Established in 1898 as F.&F. Rick and Co. Bicycles, Parts, Gaslights and Sundries on Main Street, Rick Cycle Shop has operated continuously through seven proprietors, moving to Allen Street in 2008 after 110 years downtown. The shop carries Marin, Jamis, Surly, Diamondback, Kryptonite, Giro, Blackburn, Ortlieb, and Topeak, with ability to special-order additional stock at no extra cost. Services span three tiered tune-up levels ($75: $275), flat repairs ($25), and a basement inventory of refurbished bikes rebuilt from the ground up plus vintage and retro parts from the 1930s to present.
