Question 2

What is the difference between Go Bike Buffalo's two locations?

Accepted Answer

313 Broadway is the main headquarters and full-service bike shop with retail (new and used bikes, pedal and electric options, accessories, and parts) and paid repair services including tune-ups starting at $65. 98 Colvin is the original Parkside location focused on used bike and parts sales, with limited Open Shop hours and a volunteer repair night for community-donated bikes.

Does the shop offer open-access repair time, and how does membership work?

Accepted Answer

Go Bike Buffalo runs Open Shop sessions at both locations: Saturday 10 am–2 pm at 313 Broadway and Tuesday 5 pm–8 pm at 98 Colvin. Open Shop is free for members and $10 for non-members, allowing customers to use the shop's tools and stands. The shop also hosts Volunteer Nights on Thursdays 5 pm–8 pm at 98 Colvin for experienced mechanics to help repair donated bikes.

Question 4

What types of bikes does Go Bike Buffalo sell, and are used bikes available?

Accepted Answer

The shop stocks both new and used bikes, including pedal-powered and electric options like Aventon and Rad Power models. Used bikes are available at both locations, with 98 Colvin specializing in used inventory.

Does the shop have parking and bike access options?

Accepted Answer

Go Bike Buffalo's 313 Broadway location offers four bike racks alongside the building plus abundant street signs for locking bikes, with additional semi-permanent racks planned for Fridays. A Reddy Bikeshare station with 6 slots (including e-bikes) is located at the address. Free on-street parking is available on Broadway and Cedar Street, and the location is a 15-minute walk or 6-minute bike ride from the Lafayette Square metro rail station, with nearby bus service on Routes 1, 4, and 6.
