About
RamBikes is operated by Virginia Commonwealth University's Department of Parking & Transportation and serves VCU students, faculty, and staff with free bike repair, maintenance education, and commuter bike rentals at its shop on W. Broad Street. Beyond campus, RamBikes extends programs to the Richmond community including free workshops, mobile bike repair, K-12 ride programming, and youth shop programs. The shop does not sell parts or complete bikes but diagnoses repairs and teaches do-it-yourself maintenance. VCU earned gold Bicycle Friendly University designation in 2020 from the League of American Bicyclists, one of 31 universities nationwide at that level.
