Established in 1992 by David Howard, Pedal the Peaks has deep roots in Durango's mountain bike community. Now owned by Shirley Gonzales and Kevin Barton, the shop carries Devinci, Ibis, Intense, Orbea, Norco, Transition, and Woom bikes alongside components from Shimano and SRAM. The shop offers rentals (starting at $26.99 half-day), general repairs and tune-ups including suspension basics, and emphasizes quick turnaround and reasonable pricing, with a popular Slim Tune service at $69.99.
