Founded in 1986 as Outback Bikes & Outfitters, the shop pivoted to full bicycle focus in the 1990s under Pete Wicker's ownership and remains family-run. Operating a main location at L5P (484 Moreland Ave) and an appointment-only Hapeville Hub, Outback carries Gazelle, Giant, Radio Flyer, Rad Power, Salsa, and Shimano, with services including repairs, bike rentals, trade-ins, and cycling classes taught by League of American Bicyclists certified instructors. The shop sponsors local events including the Dick Lane Velodrome, GA Cyclocross, and Atlanta Bicycle Coalition, and partners with Atlanta Streets Alive and Bicycle Tours of Atlanta.
