Question 1

What makes Northwoods Cycle's ownership and mission distinctive?

Accepted Answer

Northwoods Cycle is a woman-owned business co-founded by Allison Hall and Tim Bradley, who relocated to Rice Lake in 2023 to serve their community. The shop explicitly prioritizes being welcoming and inclusive to everyone, framing itself as a comfortable, inviting community space rather than an exclusive cycling destination.

Question 2

Accepted Answer

Yes. Woodland Coffee operates inside the shop, allowing customers to grab fresh-brewed coffee while waiting for service, working, meeting friends, or simply browsing bikes.

Question 3

What is Tim Bradley's background in bike repair and service?

Accepted Answer

Tim Bradley, the service lead and co-founder, has worked on bikes for years and brings expertise in mechanical problem-solving, attention to detail, and a commitment to completing repairs correctly and on time.

Question 4

Is Northwoods Cycle accessible and welcoming to beginners or people new to cycling?

Accepted Answer

The shop describes itself as a full-service bicycle shop designed to serve all cycling needs, explicitly welcoming anyone learning to ride, seeking tune-ups, or simply wanting information and community, not only experienced cyclists.

Question 5

What types of riding do the shop owners specialize in or advocate for?

Accepted Answer

Both principal owners Allison Hall and Tim Bradley are passionate about gravel and mountain biking, and the shop's location in downtown Rice Lake positions it as a resource for exploring local northwoods trails and terrain.
