About
Missoula Bicycle Works opened in 1996 as a repair-focused shop started by two college students, Monte Snyder and Michael Schmitt, and is now owned by Alex Gallego, a former national-level racer and coach. The shop carries road, mountain, gravel, touring, and comfort bikes from brands including Cannondale, Trek, Kona, Evil, Santa Cruz, Pivot, Yeti, Intense, and Juliana, alongside components from Shimano, SRAM, and Teravail. Staff mechanics hold Shimano S-TEC, SRAM, and Park Tool certifications, and the shop performs custom builds, suspension work, and hand-laced wheel builds on a broad range of disciplines.
