The shop was founded in 2006 by Joe and Julie, who started the business out of a garage in Winthrop after years of cycling and skiing in the Methow Valley. Joe is a longtime competitive cyclist, and Julie came to cycling as a college commuter and bike advocate. The shop later moved to its current downtown Winthrop location.
