Founded in 2014 by shop owner, James, as mobile service for bike commuters, initially operating from a tent and his grandmother's Honda Accord, (mend) has expanded to two locations. The main Wedgwood neighborhood shop carries a plethora of bikes, gear, and parts, serving recreational riders, commuters, and experienced cyclists. Services available there include professional bike fitting, general repairs on all makes and models, and trade-in bikes and used parts to meet varied budgets. (mend) also partners with several Seattle-based businesses and organizations, including Seattle Children's Hospital.
