Freewheel is a 501(c)3 charitable organization in Madison dedicated to transportation justice through bicycle education. The shop teaches people to build, repair, and maintain bicycles via sliding-scale mechanical classes and open-shop sessions at 31 S Mills St, supported by volunteers, donors, and used bike donations. Its core mission centers on making bicycles accessible to everyone regardless of income, with regular community events including Open Shop sessions and commuter-station outreach.
