Free Ride Bicycle Collective is a volunteer-run 501(c)(3) nonprofit founded in 2001 in Wilkinsburg as part of the Mr Roboto Project punk collective. The shop operates from the Construction Junction warehouse and focuses on bike repair education, parts recycling, and redistributing affordable bikes to community members who cannot afford new ones. Open shop hours allow visitors to use tools and parts to maintain their own bikes, and volunteer nights offer $15/hour in store credit while supporting the organization's mission.
