About
Ernie's Bicycle Shop was founded in 1978 by Ernie Lehman, who purchased inventory from a Bolivar shop and opened in Navarre; it has since expanded to locations in Massillon, North Canton, and New Philadelphia. The New Philadelphia store, opened in 2009, sits at the corner of Wabash and The Boulevard and carries 45NRTH, Electra, Giant, Shimano, SRAM, Teravail, and Trek. The shop offers three-tier tune-ups (Darn Good at $49.99, Even Better at $119.99, The Best at $229.99), general repairs on all makes and models, e-bike software updates and diagnostics, bike storage, pack-and-ship, and pickup-and-delivery service. Beyond bikes, the shop stocks skateboards and skate gear, and has been an active advocate for local trails: notably donating land in 2003 that led to the Lake Avenue Trailhead on the Towpath Trail.
