Ohio City Bicycle Co-op is a non-profit bicycle education center operating a 12,000 square-foot mechanic shop in Cleveland, where a small professional staff and skilled volunteers upcycle donated bicycles and teach repair and riding skills. The co-op operates a bicycle thrift store at 1779 Merwin Ave. (open Thursday: Saturday, noon: 5pm) selling refurbished bikes, new and used parts, clothing, and accessories. Through classes, fix-athons, pay-what-you-can programs, and community group rides: including a June industrial-flats tour and July hot-dog-route "fun-raiser": OCBC provides free and affordable bicycles, repairs, and safety gear to Cleveland-area cyclists seeking access or meeting eligibility guidelines.
