Ellis Cycles, founded in 2008 in Franklin, Wisconsin, builds custom hand-built steel bicycles and offers frame restoration and bike racks. Builder David Wages learned his craft at Serotta and Waterford before starting Ellis, and has won multiple awards from the North American Handbuilt Bike Show. The shop specializes in steel frames ranging from track and cyclocross to modern disc-brake road and gravel bikes, including the Strada Fango monstercross model designed for dirt, road, and gravel riding.
