East Coast Electric Speed Shop operated as the Triangle's e-bike specialist with locations in Raleigh (418 West Peace St) and Carrboro (210 West Main St) for four years before closing in April 2024. The shop offered e-bike sales, repair, and maintenance, with a team including owner Jacob Torbert, mechanics Dave Holmes and Mike Larson, and sales manager Nathaniel Phelan. Service was first-come first-serve; the shop did not work on e-scooters.
