Founded in 1993 as Bicycle Classics Inc., Mike Kone re-entered the bicycle business in 2008 with Rene Herse Bicycles, producing high-end randonneur bicycles and vintage parts until 2018. Boulder Bicycle now operates from Boulder, Colorado, focusing on vintage and vintage-inspired parts for the lightweight bicycle community, with a mini-museum of machines from the late 1930s through mid-1980s open by appointment. The shop specializes in Campagnolo Nuovo Record and Super Record components and serves both budget-conscious enthusiasts and serious collectors.
