Bikes for the World, based in Rockville, MD, is the nation's largest bicycle reuse program. The organization collects used bicycles and donates them through 117 supported projects in 32 countries to improve transportation access, enable health workers and students, and support economic opportunity in underserved communities. Founded by Keith Oberg, the organization works with local partners in Latin America, Africa, Asia, and the Caribbean who repair, maintain, and distribute bikes to advance education, health care delivery, and livelihoods.
