About
Bay Area Bicycle Rescue is a nonprofit founded in 2015 that collects unused and salvaged bicycles, refurbishes them, and distributes them to individuals and community organizations in need of transportation. The shop accepts donations of bikes and parts, offers refurbished ready-to-ride bikes at low prices, and supports community organizations with bike building and training programs. Operating from 1411 23rd Ave in Oakland, Bicycle Rescue bridges the gap between bicycle waste and charities, schools, shelters, and transportation agencies that lack resources to access donated bikes.
