Founded in 2006, Basalt Bike and Ski operates locations in Carbondale, Aspen, Basalt, and Willits, Colorado, plus Denver and Seattle satellite shops. In 2022 it merged with Cripple Creek Backcountry to combine backcountry skiing and cycling expertise. The shop carries Specialized, Giant, Pivot, Santa Cruz, Yeti, Pinarello, Cervelo, Transition, and Open, with trained technicians in electronic shifting, e-bike battery and motor service, and suspension work. It stocks road, gravel, and mountain bikes across all ability levels, plus a dedicated e-bike selection, and offers rentals and repair services.
