Question 1

Does Alpine Hut offer in-store pickup for online orders?

Accepted Answer

Yes. In-store pickup is free for all items, including bikes and oversized products, with most orders ready within one business day. Customers should bring a photo ID and the credit card used for purchase to confirm identity at pickup.

Question 2

What is Alpine Hut's return policy on bikes?

Accepted Answer

Bikes are not eligible for return. Other unused merchandise may be returned within 2 weeks from the date of purchase for a full refund, though sale merchandise and labor fees (such as custom wheel builds) are non-refundable.

Question 3

Does Alpine Hut ship bikes and gear outside the local area?

Accepted Answer

The shop does not offer standard shipping through its website; in-store pickup is currently the primary fulfillment method. However, customers can email the shop with their address and item of interest to receive a shipping quote, with the customer responsible for paying shipping costs.

Question 4

How long has Alpine Hut been in business?

Accepted Answer

Alpine Hut has been operating for 40 years, serving the Pacific Northwest with both a bike shop and ski shop staffed with knowledgeable specialists in sales, service, and repair.

Question 5

What should a customer do if they need an item urgently?

Accepted Answer

Customers should call the shop directly to confirm product availability before visiting, to avoid an unnecessary trip or delays related to assembly or transfers from off-site inventory.

Question 6

Are there any restrictions on order pickups?

Accepted Answer

Orders must be picked up within 30 days of being ready; a 10% restocking fee will be charged on orders not picked up within that window, unless special arrangements are made in advance.
