Wheelhouse Bike Co. opened in 2016 in Chatham after owner Dan Bergquist, a 15-year lobsterman and Barnett Bicycle Institute-certified mechanic, renovated a former pharmacy on Crowell Road next to the Cape Cod Rail Trail. The family-owned shop carries Trek (road, hybrid, beach cruiser, e-bike, and kids models) and Surly (gravel, cyclocross, and fat bikes), offers full mechanical service from tune-ups to drivetrain overhauls and hydraulic brake work, and rents bikes equipped with lock, map, and helmet. Sarah Upton-Bergquist, a professional goldsmith, curates bike accessories including Nantucket Lightship baskets and graphic bells.
