Wayne's Ski & Cycle opened as Tyrol Ski and Sports on November 1, 1976, and has operated under its current name since 1983 under owner Matt Curtis (who acquired it in 2004). Located downtown at 15 6th St SW in Mason City, Iowa, the shop carries Specialized, Trek, Pivot, Salsa, Surly, 45NRTH, Electra, Teravail, and Shimano/SRAM components across bikes and snow sports. Services include professional bike fitting, general repairs, and fitness equipment servicing; the shop is active in local trail advocacy through North Iowa Human Powered Trails and hosts group rides and clinics with the Mason City Mountain Bike Club.
