Velo Republic was founded in 2014 by owner Gabe Aguilar, a mechanic since 2004, along with his wife Gail. Located at 219 Fort Worth Drive in Denton, TX, the shop carries Cannondale, Santa Cruz, Salsa, Surly, Intense, Juliana, Fuji, Benno, Aventon, Rad Power, 45nrth, Denago, and component brands including Shimano and SRAM. The shop offers general repairs and tune-ups, custom builds, and pickup/drop-off service, and explicitly rejects the transactional model in favor of a community gathering space where customers build relationships with staff who ride themselves.
