Question 1

What is the ownership and history of Tony's Bikes & Sports?

Accepted Answer

Tony's Bikes & Sports was founded in 1992 by Tony Arnold as a shop dedicated to serving cyclists and the action sports community. After Tony returned to school, he sold the shop in 1996 to Anthony Libretti, a fellow cyclist and veteran team member. The current owner, Mike Macisco, has operated the shop since 2006 and continues the founder's vision of being rider-owned and operated.

Question 2

Does the shop work on all bike brands?

Accepted Answer

Tony's Bikes & Sports does not service or assemble all brands of bikes and e-bikes. The shop declines work on certain brands due to varying quality levels, known safety concerns with many online-sold brands, and limited parts availability for those manufacturers.

Question 3

What community involvement does the shop have?

Accepted Answer

Under previous ownership, Tony's Bikes & Sports partnered with non-profits to raise money and grew the local cycling community through weekly group rides and mechanic classes. The shop has historically promoted the health benefits of cycling and the cycling lifestyle within the area.

Question 4

What type of staff does the shop employ?

Accepted Answer

The shop's staff is composed of seasoned veterans and cyclists who are passion-driven and approach cycling as a lifestyle. The team is available to assist with requests of any size.
