Established in 2002, The Hub is a non-profit bike shop in Bellingham, WA that builds refurbished and custom bikes from donated frames and parts, keeping bicycles out of landfills. The shop offers rebuilt used bikes, custom-built bikes to order, repairs, tuneups, and both used and new parts, with community workstations available on a first-come, first-serve basis. The Hub does not service suspension systems or hydraulic disc brakes. Beyond retail, the shop hosts community education classes on roadside maintenance and bike commuting, and organizes monthly Trash Club volunteer bike-powered litter cleanups at Whatcom Creek.
