Start Haus opened in 2011 in Truckee, just north of Lake Tahoe, as a ski shop and has expanded to offer year-round bike service alongside its core ski bootfitting and tuning. The shop carries bikes and e-bikes from Aventon, Evil, Giant, Liv, Pinarello, Rad Power, and Salsa, and offers suspension rebuilds, bike rentals across multiple categories (e-MTB, mountain, gravel, women's, junior), and demo bike sales. The staff handles both ski and bike work with attention to detail; the shop also hosts shop rides for gravel, road, e-MTB, and MTB.
