Founded in 2007 by Eddie Sampson, a Northern Virginia native who fell in love with Shepherdstown on a cycling trip, Shepherdstown Pedal & Paddle operates as a combined bike, kayak, and canoe shop in downtown Shepherdstown on West German Street. The shop carries Giant, Specialized, Trek, and Electra bicycles alongside Liv and Jamis rentals for C&O Canal cycling trips, while offering full-service bike repair, rentals with shuttle transportation, and paddling services on the Potomac River.
