R Community Bikes is a 501(c)3 nonprofit founded in 2008 that collects, repairs, and distributes bicycles free of charge to children and adults in Rochester, NY. Since its founding, the organization has given away 41,182 bikes and completed 54,009 repairs. It operates a main repair location at 226 Hudson Ave. on Wednesdays and Saturdays, plus five seasonal offsite repair stations across Rochester neighborhoods, serving individuals who depend on bicycles as primary transportation and partnering with dozens of community organizations including churches, youth centers, and neighborhood associations.
