Founded in 2010 as the Pumpkinvine Nature Trail was completed, Pumpkinvine Cyclery operates two locations: Middlebury (since 2016, across from the trail's main access point) and Downtown Elkhart: carrying Specialized, Giant, Liv, Pivot, Salsa, Surly, Denago, 45NRTH, and Teravail. Co-owned by Spencer Short and his wife Brittany, the shop offers rentals, e-bikes, gravel and road bikes, kids bikes, and full service including Bosch and Shimano certifications. The shop explicitly positions itself around building community and welcoming riders from beginners to experienced cyclists.
