Peak Adventures began in the early 1970s as a student tool co-op for bike repair, evolving into a full bike shop by the late 1970s under the name Mountain Wolf Sports. In 1989, Associated Students Incorporated formalized it as Peak Adventures, expanding into outdoor trips, gear rentals, and an on-campus ropes course while maintaining the bike shop. Located in the University Union at Sacramento State, it carries Salsa bikes and serves students, staff, and the surrounding community through rentals, repairs, and outdoor programming.
