Founded in 1999 in a 500-square-foot space in downtown Steamboat Springs, Orange Peel Bicycle Service moved in 2005 to a one-of-a-kind building built around a repurposed sawdust incinerator and ski lift tower. Now in its 25th year, the shop relocated to Steamboat Basecamp on the west end of town with access to the bike path, gravel riding, and the Great Divide Mountain Bike Route. Orange Peel carries Moots, Pivot, Transition, Orbea, Salsa, and KHS, and operates a service department that handles general repairs, suspension and disc brake work, and vintage overhauls.
