Question 1

What is Cycles On Call and how does it differ from the in-store location?

Accepted Answer

Cycles On Call is New Canaan Bicycles' mobile service offering, described as 'The Bicycle Service That Comes to You.' This allows customers to access professional bicycle repair and service at their location rather than visiting the physical shop in New Canaan.

Question 2

Who founded New Canaan Bicycles and what is the owner's background?

Accepted Answer

New Canaan Bicycles was founded in 2008 by Lou Kozar, a Fairfield County bicycle veteran who previously owned and operated Better Bicycle Center stores in Norwalk and Stamford for over ten years. Kozar also worked on product development for Spinergy and spent three years as part of Dean Kamen's team at Segway before returning to establish this shop.

Question 3

Does the shop offer repair service on all bicycle brands?

Accepted Answer

Yes, New Canaan Bicycles offers professional repairs on all brands of bicycles, not just the brands it carries new in stock.

Question 4

What is the return and satisfaction policy?

Accepted Answer

New Canaan Bicycles offers a 100% satisfaction guarantee with a 30-day return window; customers can return items for either replacement or refund if unsatisfied with their purchase.

Question 5

What are the in-store pickup options for online orders?

Accepted Answer

Most online orders are ready for pickup within one business day at the shop location, with pickup available free regardless of order amount. Customers should call ahead to confirm product availability if they need an item urgently, and orders must be picked up within 15 days or a 10% restocking fee applies.
